I'm in the US, my Address is US Based, My card is US Based, I have not changed countries, my previous card was US based. Yet.. I still get this message.
Your payment method and country don't match.
Funny enough though, I do see that my country is "US" on the bottom, but if I try and update my country then it displays "USA", this does not help however.
I've tried both on my mobile device, and windows pc (both chrome and edge).
Using a discover card if that helps?
Hey @yesman13,
Thanks for coming to the Community.
In this case, it's best to double-check with the issuer of your card if it has been issued in the US. 🙂
Let me know how it goes!
Yup, it was issued in the US.I can only assume that it might be a bug with the way that the country is returned by your credit card system and Discover cards. Is there a way to create a ticket for a dev to verify that they're not doing something like card.Country === user.Country when it might be that my country is US and the country in the card is "USA"
Hey @yesman13,
Thanks for getting back.
Some card providers operate in several countries and therefore the country where the card was issued isn't always identical to the country you live in.
I can't say if your card provider is one of them, since I don't know it's name, but it's certainly a possibility due to the error message you're seeing, so I recommend reaching back out to them to see if it can get sorted.
Alternatively, you can try using a different payment method.
Let me know how it goes 🙂
Not sure that it helps, but once again, I'm trying to add this card

The country is still US,
Alright, @yesman13 - Thanks for the link!
I still recommend reaching back out to the issuer of your card regarding the country your card was issued in. Or, alternatively, you can try using a different payment method 🙂
I have the same problem with the Discover credit card listed above. I contacted Discover when I first encountered this problem and they verified that the card was issued in the US. I agree with @yesman13 that this seems to be a bug with how the country names are matched/not matched.
