Thank you for your replies. Since this thread appears to be getting some more attention, we'll gladly help clear out some confusion.
Firstly, be advised that if a payment has already been processed, cancelling the subscription will not refund this payment and your Premium will instead remain active until the next billing date. Any and all refund requests are handled via our support team, you can reach out to them at any time. Be advised that refunds can only be processed within a brief timeframe after the date of purchase. Make sure to have all of your payment information on hand, as our team will need it to find the payments and verify you as the account owner.

Hello, I mistakenly extended the subscription to an account on which I do not use spotify, can I cancel the subscription and return the money?
The ai says I’m ineligible for a refund because its says the date of the subscription starts at the start of the trial which doesn’t make sense because I wouldn’t need a refund for a trial, I want the refund for this months subscription that I was charged for, which is separate from a trial, and customer service says that I have to cancel the trial before I’m charged to be eligible for a refund, its makes zero sense. The app doesn’t even offer me an option to cancel the subscription.
