Canceling Spotify with Rogers (Canada)

Canceling Spotify with Rogers (Canada)

I signed up for the 6 month Free promotion of Spotify through Rogers (Canada) but would like to switch my monthly billing back to Spotify but it's imposible to do.

If you try contacting Rogers they tell you to contact Spotify and when you log into Spotify they tell you to contact Rogers. Endless Loop!

HELP!

Hey @pixelflex,

Since your subscription is through Rogers, you'll need to reach out to them regarding cancelling it 🙂

I have had the same problem for a few days now.  First, I tried to cancel onRogers website, but it is not possible. I then called Rogers and the customer rep cancelled it for me through their system. They said it was effective immediately but where not sure how Spotify is updated.

This was 5 days ago. I have no Spotify services on my Rogers account any longer but my Spotify account still shows Premium through Rogers and won't let me sign up for Spotify Family Plan. Can anyone help us all, determine how and when the Spotify Premium will switch to Free so we can sign up for the Family Plan.

I'm trying to do the exact same thing. I called them and they said they'll manual cancel Spotify from My Extra and credited me back $9.99. I guess I have to wait until my next billing cycle to see if it's been canceled.

I'm curious to see what happens to my Spotify Account, does it switch back to Spotify Billing or gets permanently deleted because I'd like to also upgrade to Spotify Family.

@pixelflex,

It'll downgrade to Spotify's Ad-based Free plan.

Just a follow up, Spotify has been removed from my last Rogers bill but when I login into Spotify now it still says it's associated with Rogers. (See Attached Image) So I'm still unable to upgrade to the Family Plan.

ps: I wonder if I get Spotify Premium for FREE now.

A follow up after a month.

1) Rogers removed Spotify from my monthly billing.

2) Spotify STILL thinks my plan is associated with Rogers.

3) I'm getting Spotify Premium for FREE now, thanks!
