Cannot add payment method

Solved!

Cannot add payment method

My Premium Family Plan (India) ends soon & wanted to add a payment method.

The Payment Help in Support says: To update or change your payment details:
- Log in to your account page.
- Go to Manage your plan, click Update next to your payment method.
- Enter a new payment method.

But below is my case - there is NO Update link next to the payment method. Checked all over. If I click SUBSCRIBE, I am taken to a page asking me to get a Premium Subscription again.

How to add a Payment Card/method?

Thanks

Hey @eurorep,

As mentioned previously, since you've got a prepaid and would like to continue having Premium Family after the prepaid time runs out, you'll need to subscribe by using the subscribe button or by heading to spotify.com/family. 🙂

If you don't subscribe by the end of your prepaid time, your plan will end and all members of the Premium Family plan, including you as the plan manager, will simply revert back to Spotify's Free plan.

Lastly, if you encounter any issues subscribing, let me know and I'll see what else I can suggest.

Hey @eurorep,

If you subscribe to Premium Family before the remaining time runs out, they shouldn't notice anything, since it's still the same plan in some way. 🙂

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out.

Can you please check if it looks the same when accessing the page from a different device/browser?

Let me know how it goes 🙂

Hello,

Done so. Used Safari & Brave, and in private mode as well.
Same result.

Thanks

Hey again, @eurorep,

Thanks for letting me know.

It looks like you've got a prepaid plan, so if you'd like to continue it, you'll need to subscribe by using the subscribe button or by heading to spotify.com/family.

If you encounter any issues doing so, let me know and I'll see what else I can suggest 🙂

This link takes me to a per month plan - which is fine.

But if I subscribe to it with autopay, what happens to my prepaid 1 year family plan??

Will this new plan start after that ends or will the balance from the annual plan be refunded?
Thanks

Hey @eurorep,

I'll double-check it and will get back to you shortly 🙂

Ok, thanks Maxim !

Hey again, @eurorep,

Thanks for your patience 🙂

When you subscribe to the Premium Family plan, the system should charge you for the plan once the prepaid time ends.

The charge shouldn't happen immediately after updating the info and you shouldn't lose any of your remaining prepaid time.

I hope this helps!

Hi Maxim,

It brings us back to the initial question. I CAN NOT add a payment method - so how I will be charged at the end of my subscription period??

Thanks.

HI Maxim, Thanks. Last question:

I have annual family premium, ad if I subscribe to monthly family premium, then will the 5 other members of my family carry automatically to the new monthly plan or they will be unsubscribed and need to add again to the new plan? Thanks
