My Question or Issue

My partner bought Duo plan and sent me an invitation. When I click on the invitation and log in, I'm getting error that Spotify was unable to confirm that my partner and I live in the same location. My partner has correct address set (checked under https://www.spotify.com/account/duo). I cannot see any place in settings where I could set my address

Contacting Customer Support, specifically chat bot, solved the issue. It reset some setting so I could enter my address

Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the conversation.

 

This type of issue commonly happens when the owner of the plan has a different country registered on their account or vice versa. So first, taking into account that the user's must live together to subscribe to the Duo plan, we'd first recommend updating the country on both of your accounts to match the country you're currently located.

 

If the issue persists after this, we'd also recommend trying to accept the invite from an incognito window, a different browser or a different network to see if it makes any difference.

 

Lastly, since this could be an account-related issue, and we cannot access users' accounts from the Community, we'd recommend contacting our Customer support directly so they can check the accounts and help you further.

Don't know about Poland but here in the US I was alerted, in-app, that Duo is being phased out. I hope they don't do the same to you all. Sucks. Now we have to pay an extra $3 for the Family plan and have dead spots because there is only two of us
