Now I`m afraid if I and my wife will losing all of our hundreds of Playlists?

How can I make sure, that we`re not losing all Playlists, when we change our Account from Family to Duo?

Thank you for your help and best regards from germany

Hey @rauschlausch, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Yes, you can use an existing Spotify account to join Premium Duo, and you'll be able to keep your own saved music and playlists. Other members of the plan also use their own accounts, so you don’t need to share login details.

There is some more information on Premium Duo here

Let me know if you have any more questions. Have a nice day!

I've got the same doubt. And it is not solved.

Premium Duo suscription page is clear about what happend with family members playlists. They lose them.

Is this an error? If I move from family to duo my wife keeps her playlists.

Hey @kvtxillas, thanks for reaching out!

I understand your concern. As mentioned in my last reply, when you upgrade to Premium Duo, you and your wife will be able to keep your saved content, including music, and playlists - and you each will have a separate login (like you did when you were on Premium Family).

It also states on this FAQ page here:

For more information on how the plan works, check out the link I provided in my last reply.

Hello Billy-J,

thank you for your quick help.
Almost forgot to answer. But better late than never 😉

The change from family to duo ist working without losing playlists.
But they charge directly the duo-fee without offset the family-fee which is already paid. Maybe they will do it later...

Thanks again and have a nice day!

I now have both accounts, duo and individual, my wife opened the duo account and sent me the request, and the duo just had a heap of playlists similar to mine, and I'm afraid if I delete my individual ill lose all my lists.

Please help, my wife still had all hers as she set it up, and now I have two accounts.

Hey folks,

Thanks for your replies. @rauschlausch, apologies for missing your last comment.

To avoid additional charges and to sort out any confusion related to where your playlists are saved, we'd suggest reaching out to the folks over at Customer Support.

Cheers,
