Charged regular premium instead of student

This month I was charged the regular premium 9.99 & not the student premium 4.99 which I previously had. I had to go into my account & verify than Im a student AGAIN. If my 12 months as a student were over an email making me aware would have been nice. Why was I not switched to the free spotify until I reverified that Im still a student instead of getting changed 9.99 for regular premium. Spotify overdrafted the card I have on file. Not cool.
