My Question or Issue

 

To whom it may consern,

I have been a loyal customer for a while thinking i would not have to worry about a 9.99 monthly fee. I have been getting double charge from september 2017 for every month up till one. After reading about this on the community form this is what i came up with.

 

There are a few reasons why this might happen:

  • You might be paying for more than one account. We’d recommend checking our support site to learn how to find and cancel any other accounts. (Answer: Only have one account if there is another account I did not approve nor got email conformation that it is active..)

  • The payment was unsuccessful, but appeared on your statement anyway. If we’re unable to process the payment, the funds will reappear on your statement soon. This is all part of your bank/credit card’s authorization process. You can reach out to them for more information. You may see multiple charges like this if you tried the payment multiple times.
    (Answer: Automatic payments and never default in my life..)
  • If you’ve recently upgraded from Premium to Premium for Family your renewal date may come earlier than usual, possibly in the same month as your previous payment. This is because of the price difference between the two subscriptions.
  • (Answer: That would only happen for one month not 12 months..)

I'm sorry to hear that you've been double charged for that long. The best recommendation I have is to either try contacting @SpotifyCares via Twitter or submitting a ticket using the Contact Form.
