Downgrade plan question

I have a duo premium plan. I am no longer connected with the other person on the plan. If I downgrade my plan to premium individual, will that change be immediate or will they keep access until the 12th which is when my plan cycles?

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!

If you change your plan from Premium Duo to Premium Individual (following these steps), the other person in your Premium Duo plan will lose access to Premium at your next payment date (the 12th). At that time, your plan will also switch to Premium Individual and you’ll be charged the price for Premium Individual instead of for Premium Duo.

Alternatively, you could remove the other Premium Duo plan member before then, via your account page (by following these steps). If you do this, the other person will lose access to Premium immediately.
