Duo subscription - address modification

Duo subscription - address modification

Hi there,

My girlfriend and I both have individual premium accounts and we would like to shift to a joint duo premium account. I have set up the account and have sent the invitation to her. However, when she is confirming our address, she received an error message indicating that we do not live in the same country.

We live in Belgium (the address we would like to use for our duo account) but are French, and I'm using a French credit card as the default payment method. Therefore, my account is linked to France, even though the address I indicated when setting up the duo account is in Belgium. I have tried to change my country of residence by modifying my payment method and using a Belgian debit card, but France still appears at the default country.

We tried both on a PC (Windows 10) and a Mac (IOS 10.11.16), but it's the same problem.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey there @Drumkast!

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Your payment method need to match the country where you're currently in to confirm your location.

You can check the country registered on your account with the steps here, and keep in mind that it can differ from the one you've registered for the Duo plan.

If you'd like to change your country to Belgium, you'll need a payment method issued there.

When you change your payment method, you'll need to wait until your next payment date so that the change will go into effect.

When your next payment goes through your new registered card, the account should sync up and you will be able to add your family members to the plan.

We hope this info helps. We'll be here if you have any other questions.
