Effects in my account by changing country.

Effects in my account by changing country.

I’m soon gonna shift to another country and i was wondering if my account will get effected by that. What happens if i have a year subscription left when I shift? Do i have to pay again according to that country spotify rates?

Hi @Kevinkhant, thanks for writing!


If you permanently move to another country, you need to update your payment method to one that's issued in your new country:

  1. Log in to your account page
  2. Under Your plan, click UPDATE next to your payment method. 
  3. Enter a new payment method that was issued in your new country. 

The changes will take effect from your next billing date.

Thanks for posting about this here in the Community!


To add to what @Bittencourt mentioned, following the steps above shouldn't affect any Premium time already applied to your account.


However, after your next billing date, the country registered on your account the country should be update and your future payments should match the country you're in.


You can track all these changes on your account page.
