My Question or Issue

I keep getting this error message when attempting to upgrade from Premium Individual to Premium Duo with "manage subscription":

Sorry, you are not eligible for that plan. Here are some other ways to get Premium.
Then when I select "other ways to get Premium" - like selecting the "Duo" button - I get the same message.
 
How do I upgrade from my Premium Individual account to Premium Duo? I could cancel my current Individual account but I don't want to lose my playlists.

Thanks for reaching out.

 

In this case, it's best to cancel your Premium Individual subscription and wait until it has ended. Once it has ended and your account has reverted back to Spotify's free service, you'll be able to subscribe to Premium Duo without any issues 🙂

If I cancel my Premium individual subscription and it reverts back to free service, will i retain all of my playlists, etc.?

As stated in the support article I linked in my previous post:

 

You keep your playlists and saved music when your account is free. You can also still log in and play with ads.
