My Question or Issue

Getting ads for 3 months of premium for free, but then I click on it and nothing happens. I've never used premium and I've been on the free version for years now.

Welcome to Spotify Community and thanks for reaching out here!

If you’re having trouble signing up for an introductory offer, remember that you won’t be eligible if you’ve already had or tried Premium in the past (unless stated otherwise).

 

Tip: Can’t remember if you’ve had Premium before? Check out your receipts page, or this guide to finding accounts

If you’ve never had Premium with us before and you're still having trouble claiming it, check out the Spotify payment troubleshooting guide.

Yeah, I've never had premium so why can't I get it.

Could you try to use another browser (using the incognito tab) or device? 

After that, let me know if it works...

Still says I'm ineligible, is it because I'm in Australia?

Could you give me some screenshots to help me to better understand your situation? (Make sure screenshots won't contain any sensitive information). And about your location, does your payment method you're trying to use to pay for the Premium is from the same as the country you currently are?

There is an ad that says 3 months free of premium as a trial. If I click on
it with my account signed in, it says sorry you are ineligible.

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about this! 

 

The reason why you're not eligible to get a Premium trial might be that the payment method you select could already have been used for purchasing a Premium subscription or could have been entered as a verification for a free trial.
