My Question or Issue

When I saw the offer for a free Google Home Mini with a family plan, I thought I would reup my subscription. The purchase went through properly, but I'm having trouble redeeming the offer. When I click check out with the item in my cart, I get the following error:

"Uh oh. There was a problem.

Your Google account isn't authorized to use Google Payments. Please contact your organization's Google Apps administrator. [OR-DDUH-01]"

I think the issue is that my spotify account is linked to my university email, but I can't figure out a workaround. It won't give me the code to use manually with another google account. How do I get past this?

Hey @jasanders.

Thanks for reaching out to us on the Community. We'll be glad to help you out!

I don't think this has anything to do with the email address that you've entered - that should be fine. Check out this Google support article and see if going through the individual steps helps. If not, then we suggest you go here and fill out the form to get in touch with Google payments support.

Hi! I am having this issue as well. I'm trying to redeem the Google Home Mini offer and got the exact same error at checkout: "Your Google account isn't authorized to use Google Payments. Please contact your organization's Google Apps administrator. [OR-DDUH-01]"

I think it's definitely because I'm using my college email account, too. The university Admin limits access to some G-Suite capabilities, and it seems like Google Pay is one of them. I use my college email for Spotify to get the Student Plan, so I don't think I'm able to log in using a different Google email address.  Is there any way to resolve this issue by maybe using a different payment method or different log-in, or do I need to attempt to reach out to my university tech support?

Thank you in advance!

Hey @KylieMiller,

Thanks for posting here 🙂

This does indeed sound like an issue linked with your Google account.

We suggest you visit the dedicated Google Pay support site here for more information on how to resolve this.

There's also this unofficial guide on how to resolve the error that you referred to above.
