How can I change my card for payments?

How can I change my card for payments?

So I had to change my card due to fraudulent transactions, but because I changed my card I don't have the billing to my new card. I've tried a few different ways to change it online but none of them work. I don't know if it's because I have a android so it's making it more difficult or what.

Hi @OliveTree26, thanks for reaching out!o update or change your payment details for Spotify:

Currently it's not possible to change your payment method using the Spotify app. To do so, using a browser in your phone:

  1. Go to your account page.
  2. Go to Manage your plan, click Update next to your payment method.
  3. Enter a new payment method.

Let me know if you need further help!

My Question or Issue : Based on the steps listed on-line to change a payment method, I am not seeing step 3 of the following:

1. Go to your account page

2. Under subscription, go to manage your plan

3. Click update next to your payment method (Missing for me)

4. Enter a new payment method

5. Click change payment details to confirm

Hi there, @XM2026,

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

I'd recommend checking if you're logged in to the correct account: for example, if you're part of a Family plan, it's possible that you're currently logged in to a member's account instead of the plan manager's.

Another possible Family plan scenario is that you've accidentally started the subscription on one of the plan members' accounts instead of your main one. It's worth asking everyone to check if they have the option to update the payment method on their account page.

In case your plan is linked with a partner company (ex. your phone or internet provider), then they're the ones who manage your payments. You'll need to cancel with them first before you can register another payment method for your Spotify account.

Hope this info was useful. Cheers 🤘
