How long is "a few days" after subscription payment fails?

I had to request a replacement debit card since I thought I lost my wallet. I found my wallet with everything in it the next day but the request had already been processed so I couldn't cancel it. The new card should be here within the next 3 or so days but my spotify should've been renewed today and it failed since my old card isn't valid anymore. How many days do I have before my Premium is revoked and can I sign up for the student plan again if it is revoked? I'm in college and that's what I use since it is a good price.

Sorry for such a delayed response, but maybe I can still help for future reference. 

 

There isn't an exact amount of times or days that Spotify keeps your subscription active after a failed payment, but Spotify does attempt to charge you again over the course of the next few days.
