How to disconnect Hulu from Spotify account

Our Hulu account is connected to Spotify, but we are now planning to upgrade the Disney+/Hulu plan to add free. But we can’t do that until we disconnect the Hulu account from Spotify and we are unsure how to do that without affecting our current subscriptions.

To disconnect Hulu from Spotify, you'll need to cancel your subscription by following the steps here. Once your subscription is canceled and your Premium time expires, the account will revert to Spotify's free service and Hulu will be deactivated 🙂

Keep in mind that the account needs to revert to free for the changes to take effect, but you'll keep the account and all playlists when it reverts to free & you can then resubscribe to Premium right away. You'll only need to re-download any playlists that you want available for offline listening once you're back on Premium.

so i have to cancel my entire spotify and wait a month before i can resubscribe to hulu? i just want ad free hulu but i also want to keep my spotify.

As of right now, we recommend canceling the subscription as @Maxim suggested. In this case, yes, you must wait until your Premium time finishes and your account goes back to free. But no worries, you can re-subscribe to Spotify Premium right away and you won't lose any saved content. You will only need to re-download your offline content.

That’s so silly. I want ad free Hulu now and I’m willing to pay for it the fact I have to wait a month to maintain my profiles is ridiculous. Get the engineering team on the making canceling services actually work. Glad I’m moving away from Spotify.
