I CAN'T USE MY GIFT CARD

A friend send me a gift card from amazon but I can't seem to activate it and I need help.

I tried to find something on the community but it wasn't easy or comfortable

could you please help me?

Hey @Krys17,

 

Yeah, that's totally understandable. If your friend wants to send you a gift in the future, it might be best for him to send you the money needed to purchase Premium, so that you can purchase it directly for your account 🙂

Hi!

It's an Amazon gift card, a digital one. I just received the email
"congratulations (user) send you a gift"

When I click on the button "get your gift card" it opens a second page and
it reads "403 forbidden" and noting else happens

I've trying to activate it since November, but it hasn't been possible

Could you please help me?

Just to double-check, is it actually an Amazon Gift Card or a Spotify Gift Card that was sent to you by Amazon via email?

 

Also, please post a screenshot of the error message and preferably the first part of the URL.

I have checked and removed the URL from your post, since you've posted it in full. This means that anyone could've now redeemed the Gift Card, but let's hope that didn't happen. 🙂

I'm new at the community, thank you so much for the help, I've been trying
to activate it since november, it means a lot, music is very important to me

But, if this happens again in the future, what should I do?

If it happens again, I recommend trying it in another browser and/or on another device, preferably while using a different network connection. 🙂

Can you please try to enable your private messages at https://community.spotify.com/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/user-preferences:private-messenger? 🙂

I'm on the link, but I can't seem to find the private messages option it
only depicts time zone, language, and them three check boxes about htl and
the posts but nothing about messages, am I on the wrong page?

Oh I see. If you're on that page, click on "Preference Options", a list should now appear. Select "Private Messenger".

 

You should be able to enable the Private Messages there 🙂

I've looked in all of them but I can't find the messages 😞

The image upload seems to have failed, can you try uploading it as an attachment within your post or here (and then share the link here) instead? 

 

You can also try to access the settings for private messages by going to the community settings > preferences > private messenger.
