I can't find the recurring payments option in Spotify student plan

My Question or Issue

I tried many times to pay recurring payments for Spotify student plan but every time the one month plan arises and there is no recurring payments plan. I already contacted customer care but they are literally doing anything. But whenever I am going to pay for premium plan there is option for recurring payment and it accepts my credit card also but for the student plan there is no option for recurring payments. As one month plan is for 66 rupees per month and recurring plan is for 59 rupees per month I want that recurring payment option.

And I already tried

  • Use an incognito/different browser
  • Use a different device
  • Use a different internet connection                                                                     these troubleshooting steps but nothing happens. There is no option for recurring paymentsThere is no option for recurring payments

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

 

In a situation like this it would be best to contact our customer Support team and explain your situation with details, as they will be able to give you more accurate info about your account, as the issue with not seeing Card payment an an option might be directly connected to the account itself.

 

We'd usually recommend trying the troubleshooting that you've already done - incognito browser, different device or connection. 

 

We suggest waiting a few days and trying to presubscribe again.

I'm also facing this issue and I have already contacted the support team and they had asked me to send the student premium page link that I was using to activate premium. Is there any way to get 12 months payment option back??

If you're still having issues with your payment, we recommend keeping in touch with our Support team so they can further look into it.

 

Regarding the 12-month payment, it isn't available in every market, and keep in mind that it's only available for regular Premium Individual subscriptions and not for the student discount. You can subscribe here.

thank you bro. It works. I contacted Spotify customer care. Literally they have no knowledge about it. During 4-5 days conversation via email they are just telling me to cancel and join Spotify premium and at last they told me to wait. Using this link I easily paid for the student premium recurring payment.
Spotify please do something about that.

Thanks for the reply.

 

Can you try the following:

  1.  Log out Everywhere.
  2. Open an incognito window in your browser and paste this link https://www.spotify.com/student/

If that gets you nowhere, log in your account page here and try clicking on Available Plans and see if you can change it from there.

still, nothing is working can I get a permanent solution .it was working properly in April .

Thanks for the reply.

 

We've reached out to the folks at Spotify and have been informed that new recurring subscription will not be possible in India for the time being, due to a new banking regulation introduced in the country this summer.

 

For now, we can recommend using different payment methods.
