I have a Spotify Unlimited account but with commercial

Hi, I still have a subscription to Spotify Unlimited, although it seems it doesn't exist anymore. So I pay for my account every month, just not as much as for Premium. On my computer I can till listen without commercial and change song the way I want (just as I originally signed up for) but on my mobile it's as if it was a Free account, with commercial, shuffle and no possibility to choose song. As I'm paying for my account I wonder what I can do about this? FYI: When I check my account and go to the page "change or cancel subscription" it first says I have a sbuscription to Spotify Unlimited but when I look at the options I can change to, it says about "Free" that if I change to that one, I will cancel my Premium (which I don't have), but if I just click on the page Upgrade, I can upgrade to Premium. But regardless, I wish to keep my Unlimited.

Unlimited allows you to listen to music on your computer with no ads and you can play any song. On mobile, it behaves like a Free account - that is expected behaviour.

 

If you want to have all these features and more on mobile as well, you will have to upgrade to Premium.

 

Premium features:

Since you've mentioned that you want to keep the Unlimited plan, there's not much else I can tell you because the Unlimited plan only gives you some more features on the desktop, not on mobile. Unlimited has been discontinued by Spotify quite some time ago.

Thank you @Maxim for your quick reply. I was afriad you'd say that, just thought it was strange since I'm a paying customer and wasn't informed (at least as I can recall) when this change happened, and the info about Unlimited accounts is nowhere to be found... Anyway, thanks for letting me know. 

Hi, I have an Unlimited Account and have had this for about 10 years (I pay £4.99pm.) I have always only used it on my desktop and enjoy ad free listening - but today for the first time ever - I am hearing ads despite my Account Saying Spotify Unlimited - Ads free listening... has something changed recently?

Hello Maxim,

I have been using Spotify Unlimited for a couple of years now and it used to work perfectly also on my Android Smartphone until about 2 weeks ago.

If now I open it on my mobile, it says that I have a Spotify Free account, not allowing me anymore the services contained within Spotify Unlimited.

On my computer and on my Amazon Firestick I can still use the full services of Unlimited, but not on my mobile anymore.

I know that Unlimited was discontinued some time ago, but it still used to work on my mobile for quite a long time and now it's not possible anymore.

Was this service now cancelled completely for mobile phones, or is there any chance to get this working again except from changing subscription to Premium?
