Is Spotify premium really available in Aruba??

Is Spotify premium really available in Aruba??

So I read the news that Spotify has expanded to include several countries in the Caribbean, including Aruba. To my surprise though, I can't seem to find "Aruba" under country when I tried to update my account. What's worse: I can't even upgrade to Spotify Premium (or any other plan, such as the family plan), because my local payment isn't accepted.

So is this some sort of false advertisement? Is Spotify premium REALLY available in Aruba??

Hi @R3_AUA,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Spotify is currently not available in Aruba.

It would be great if you can send us a screenshot of the advertisement you've seen so that we can report it to the right teams at Spotify as it may be false/ phishing.

Cheers.

Hi folks,

Thanks for your posts and the info you've submitted.

Spotify has recently been made available in the region of the Caribbeans, including Aruba.

You should be able to sign up for Spotify, as part of the Netherlands market region.

Hope you find this information helpful 🙂

Hey @sfs-32ld3_1c,

Thanks for the post.

You should be able to choose the Netherlands as your country and use your payment method issued in Aruba to subscribe.

Let us know if that works for you 🙂

Hi htere,

Indeed, Wy do you have Curacao and Not Aruba. This is just a discrimination for us. If I do pay from my local it will cost me cheaper than paying in Euro's. This is not correct.

RIchardW

Why is Aruba still not available? What is with this discrimination?

Aruba is not the Netherlands nor is our currency the Euro. Even Curaçao is listed..

I can’t select Aruba as region neither is my credit card issued by an Aruban bank supported as method of payment if I select Netherlands as a region.
