Premium Duo problem with new member

Premium Duo problem with new member

Hi! I need help. I can't seem to add a member (my daughter) to my Duo plan. I've even deleted the account and created a new one. Still nothing. Our shared address is being rejected, even though we have the same address. I suspect the problem is that I'm a Polish citizen and have Polish cards and bank accounts. I pay with a Revolut card, so for the payment to go through, I had to specify that I'm from Poland. However, when my daughter or I create accounts on Spotify, it automatically saves us to Spain, where we're currently and plan to stay. We enter both Spanish and Polish addresses, but neither is recognized. What should I do?

Hey there @AgaB,

Thanks for posting on the Community! We've moved your post to our Help section as it fits better here, hope you don't mind.

The region registered on your Spotify account is usually related to where you first signed up for the service, as well as connected your current payment method (if you're on Premium).

With this in mind, and in order for the plan to work properly, both the Premium Duo plan and your Spotify accounts will have to be registered in the country/region you're currently residing in. You can find the steps on how to update and ensure the account's region is correct by following the steps listed here. Heads-up: both you and your daughter will have to check this on your respective accounts 🙂

As you mention using a Polish payment method, most likely this is the region your Spotify account is currently registered in. In this case, you'll need to update your payment details and select a payment method that's issued in the new region. The changes will then take effect from your next billing date.

Another option is to cancel the current plan and once the Premium time expires, the account will revert to our free service (don't worry, you keep the account itself and your saved music). While on free, you can update the region directly via the steps under Don’t have Premium? listed here, and then signup for Duo again with the new payment method.

We hope this clears things up! Feel free to let us know if any other questions pops up.

Cheers
