Renew Student Discount Email Didn't Work

In September I had received the notice that my discount was going to expire and that I should click the button to extend my discount.  I had clicked the button but I've recently realized that I have been getting charged regular premium rates.  This happened last year as well.

I'm sorry to hear about this.

I just noticed a similar issue. I'm 100% sure I renewed the discount in October, but yesterday Spotify charged me the regular premium price without any warning. I am still a student so today I renewed the discount once again. But I don't want to have any more surprises.

The article you suggested doesn't have an answer for this problem. Anything else we might try?

We'll be happy to give you more info on how veryfying and activating the discount works! 

 

Here's what you need to know so you can get the Premium Student price applied to your account:

 

  1. You must first verify yourself as a student through SheerID.

  2. Then, you must update their payment details so that the Premium Student price can be applied (click on Get Discount).

  3. After that, to see if this worked out, you can check their subscription page.

But bear in mind that you cannot get a refund if you've been charged with the regular price and 14 days have passed. It's our users responsibility to check the status of their subscription. 

 

We also send an email with a note that the notification is about to expire before it does. If you haven't seen anything like that, you can check your spam folder and if the correct email is linked to your account.
