Hi everyone!
I am wondering something about my Premium account: I subbscribed for 1 year, but will move soon to another country (quite far; not the same library).
I checked, and if I want to change the country of residence in my account, I have to give new invoicing details (matching the new country). But I still have 10 months of Spotify Premium on my account!
Will it cancel the remaining time? Or will it be JUST and ONLY used in case I would like to renew my premium account in 10 months?
I do not want to pay again for a year while I almost didn't use my premium subscription...
Thanks!
Hey @Charlyboy,
With your Premium subscription you can enjoy the service all over the world, even if Spotify hasn't launched in the places you go.
Once it ends, the account reverts back to Free, and then you can change countries in your profile if you want to, and resubscribe to Premium with the new card info.
Your payment card country must match your country in profile, and the country of your IP address.
Hope it helps. 🙂
The problem is that I would like to play the music and playlists that are here.
With my friends asking me to play some songs, I realized that quite a lot of songs are not available from where I bought the spotify premium.
So I would really like to switch to the country I am now living in, but of course keep my spotify premium account!
Thanks
Unfortunately, differences in availability are due to the licensing deals made with the labels, so there's not much to do in that regard.
Yes, I get that. But it looks like you don't get what I am asking: I am asking if it is possible to change my country on my account, which leads to changing my invoicing data to local ones (so, basically, to my new credit cards I got when I moved to my new place).
I am scared that, if I do so, I would loose my premium account.
My question is then: if I change my invoicing data now, will my premium account remain, and at the same price (because I am pretty sure it was cheaper where I was before)?
I'd keep the Premium for the year paid, and after it expires (and your account goes back to Free), I'd change my payment details and country.
If you want to, you can delete your current payment info, so no new charges can be made. You will still be Premium until the remaining days of your subscription are used up.
