I'm trying to upgrade to a family plan but it keeps saying I'm ineligible. My payment method is up to date.

Hey @teagab,

 

Thanks for coming to the Community.

 

Could you try updating your plan by heading to the Spotify app, going to Settings > Premium plan > See available plans? That should show you the options for switching.

 

If that doesn’t work, could you let me know exactly what error you’re seeing? And if you’re using a different payment method to upgrade, that info could also help us figure this out. 🙂

Each time I try to change to family plan, it says "error

 

Unable to change plans. This could be because you're not eligible for this plan, you're already on it, or you don't have a stored payment method." I have a stored payment method via Google Play and currently have a Duo plan.

Thanks for letting me know.

 

I’d recommend trying the process on a different device or in an incognito/private browsing window to see if that resolves the issue.

 

If that doesn’t work, another option is to cancel your current subscription and wait until your account reverts to Free. Once it does, you should be able to choose a new plan without any issues.
