My Question or Issue
I had a Premium Individual Account that, following an offer from Spotify, I changed to a Premium Duo in late December. My account in Spotify shows that the next payment will be £12.99 on 2*th January. However yesterday (21st Jan) I received an email from Spotify saying "Premium free trial is ending " and that I will be charged £17.99 (same day as above). This is wrong, I am only expecting to pay the lower amount and that is what the account page is showing. How do I know what I will be charged?
My partner and I accessed this deal in late December and I've already gotten an email saying our trial is ending and I'll be charged full price soon, it hasn't even been a month yet!
Hey @sourdough_bread,
Thanks for reaching out about this! 🙂
As you've already found out, you can check your billing date at the top of your account page or by checking your plan details in the Spotify app. This page will display the correct information in regard to your current account.
It's a good idea to check if the email tied to your account is the same email you've received the 17.99 notification on. In case it's not the same, you may have a secondary account, in which case It's worth taking a look at this FAQ article.
If any further questions arise, don't hesitate to let us know.

My Question or Issue
On 15 Dec 25 I received an email from spotify advertising "same £12.99 price per month for up to three months" if I migrated from individual to Duo account. I completed this migration the same day, adding the other user at my address and everything seemed fine.
However, I recently received an email advising that the trial would end 27 Jan 26, after six weeks, and I would be billed £17.99 on that date.
How has a trial of "up to three months" only lasted six weeks?
Thanks for replying. I have checked and can confirm both the email and the account are under same email. I do hope that the email is an error. Is there a way to contact Spotify to confirm ?
Hey @sourdough_bread,
Thanks for your reply.
It's indeed a good idea to reach out to our colleagues from chat/email support for a confirmation. Make sure to prepare a screenshot of the email notification and your latest payment for Spotify to speed up the process.
