Spotify Kids not available on Premium Duo?

Context: I am a single parent to one (9yo) child. I have been getting many emails from Spotify encouraging me to try Duo, which I was excited about. My child's taste in music has been destroying my recommendations. 😝 So, I dutifully head over and upgrade my Premium plan to Duo, and then proceed to add my child. 

But what's this? I can't add my kidlet, because they are not eligible for a traditional Spotify account (unless I lie about the birth year). To the forums I go! 

Now I find out about Spotify Kids, which is GREAT! So I try to figure out how I go about enabling it on my Duo account. 

I can't. Spotify Kids is ONLY enabled on a Premium Family plan, which costs more than Duo. So in order to get my child their own account, I have to spend even MORE money for a plan that we don't need. 

When will Spotify Kids be available for the secondary member on the Duo plan? There is no way I am the only parent running into this issue.

You are most definitely not the only one. Absolutely same situation here. Solo mom, solo kid (8 yo) and my algorithm is toast. Got him a tablet just so he could have his own account but I can barely afford my single premium account and a free one is not doing it for him (and, yes, I lied about his age because seriously? I'm the parent.).
