Spotify Somalia

Although Spotify is officially available in most African countries most recently Ethiopia, it still does not support Somalia. I have been using the free version of Spotify for almost six years now, and I've always wanted to upgrade to premium. Is the team at Spotify working to expand to additional countries, including Somalia? So far there are over 180 countries where it can be accessible. If there are no plans for this, how can we get Spotify Premium in Somalia? Thanks

Thanks for your response.

Are you sure that the country expansion is ongoing? I have been eagerly waiting for more than a year for Spotify to launch in my country, and I haven't heard any updates from the team.

I have also contacted customer service, and they mentioned that they would escalate this matter to a higher team. Should I consider submitting this issue as an idea on the community?

And what other alternatives are there aside from staying up to date on the Newsroom?

Thanks for getting back and providing your feedback. I've taken another look into this for you based on your follow-up questions.

Unfortunately, there's not much that can be done besides keeping an eye on Spotify's Newsroom site.

I don't recommend submitting an idea for it since it would violate the guidelines for new idea submissions: "No requests for availabiliy in new countries"

Thank you for taking another look into this and for your clarification.

Although it's disappointing to hear that there's no immediate solution, I'll keep an eye on the website should it become available in the future.

I appreciate your guidance on the idea submission guidelines as well.

So if I post this idea into the community on the availability without warning, then the post will be closed immediately?

As for the higher team responsible for the market expansion,  are working on it? And won't give me an exact date on when will it come. It could come this year on in the future?

If you decide to post a Community Idea for it, it'll get closed pretty quickly since it wouldn't meet the guidelines for new idea submissions.

I can't provide you any info on if and when Spotify might become available in your country. It could theoretically be tomorrow, next month, next year... no info can be provided, really.

Alright, there is no other option than to do this way. Posting this idea won't be worth it.

The only thing is keep visiting spotify.com frequently as I do or stay updated in the newsroom.
