Spotify charged my card without upgrading my account. (Using PayPal)

I used PayPal to pay to upgrade to a premium account. My account was charged, but no upgrade was issued. After being charged and going back the Spotify payment dashboard, a red banner at the top showed that the payment has failed, despite charging my bank account.

 

Another issue is that initially, I was attempting to purchase the student premium subscription (which I’m verifiably eligible for), but even after trying multiple different payment methods (Including cards issued in different countries), the payment kept failing. However, when I tried the normal individual subscription; debit/credit payments didn’t work, but going through PayPal finally charged my account, and yet Spotify showed that the payment had still failed.

Hi! It seems there’s a glitch with your payment process. Since your account was charged but not upgraded, I’d recommend reaching out to Spotify support with your PayPal transaction ID. They can verify the payment and help resolve this quickly!
