I got a Spotify premium subscription through a coupon code. I am not sure how to activate the subscription.

Are you trying to redeem a Spotify gift card or did you get a promotional coupon from another company, for example Flipkart? If the latter, make sure you're following the steps from the email you've received or try using this link instead. More info on the Flipkart offer can be found here.
