Student Discount not working???

OK so I have applied for a student discount multiple times and have gotten approved. The only issue is I feel as though it only charges me the $4.99 for one month, then it switches to the basic premium, to where I get charged $12 a month…? I just now resubmitted my student discount premium information and am said that I will be charged $4.99 for at least 12 months; let's hope that this time it actually fulfulls its promise. Any suggestions and advice on why or how this is doing this?
