Student Plan and Redeemable Code

I just redeemed a three month gift card for Spotify Premium and I just realized I could get the student plan and save money.

If I get the student plan now, will it charge me again for the three months of premium I already paid for, or will it give me the plan free for the first three months?

You can’t use gift cards for Premium Student, Premium Family, Premium Duo, or trial offers. 

I strondly recommend reading the "Gift Cards" support page here as it contains all relevant info needed in such cases.

Just to add to what @OneByBoo said, 

What I could suggest is to use the 3 months of Spotify Premium from your gift card as its currently not possible to use the gift card to pay for Student Premium or any other discounted or shared subscription. 
Once the 3 months have expired, you can go ahead and subscribe to the Student subscription at the discounted price.
