My Question or Issue

Hi everyone. I decided to buy spotify premium after using the free plan enough times. I wanted to use the student discount (which i’m eligible to and received the code via email from sheer ID ) but when i click on the code literally nothing happens and idk what to do. It asks me to choose a premium subscription, i choose the student one, it goes back to the first page as if nothing happens. Is this normal? i tried on multiple devices, and using different browsers too. Please help, thank you.

Our tech folks have made some changes backstage related to the Student discount. Could you give the Student page another try to see if you notice any difference?

I am having the same issue and cancelled my Duo plan, I am on the Free plan but it loops me in a circle - it says I'm verified as a student, I click "get started", it loops me to the page that tells me about the plans, I click student premium, it says I'm verified, I click "get started", and on and on. I don't know what to do to get it to let me pay for the student plan...

Im having that issue too rn !!! Having to pay for a regular premium plan is bothering me im just going to wait until its fixed

I have the exact same issue. Just came Here looking for a solution to this as well.

i have the same issue, it is my first time trying to use premium student, but when im clicking to that they are refreshing my page and asking to choose plan again and again, but the verifiev my university it is my first year of studying and i want u to fix , i tried with my phone(iphone) computer (asus) all types of browsers and even incognito page BUT NOTHINH WORKS!

also happening here too and its a pain in my ass actually.

I'm trying to sign up for the student premium account, but every time I click that option it tells me I'm verified as a student and tells me the next step is to choose my plan. So I click that and it takes me right back to the plan menu. where I click get premium student. And I am taken back to you're verified as a student choose your plan. And on and on and on this loop goes. This happens on mobile and desktop, but does not occur if I click premium individual. Then it takes me straight to checkout, which is what I would like for it to do for student premium.

i finally got in touch with customer support and they were able to give a direct link to checkout for the student account which fixed it

Just to confirm, does the same thing happen if you try subscribing from another browser or an incognito window?

 

We can also suggest checking with a different device. For example, if you're currently on mobile, you can try from a computer. If possible, connecting to another internet connection is an option as well.

I had the same issue so I didn't do anything about it. Now, I started subscribing today, it sends to SheerID, and it says I already retrieved my code... the one that never worked. However, I do not mind starting paying now but Spotify will not let me move forward in subscribing. Can you help please?

 Thanks for posting here and welcome. 

In this case, we'd suggest you make sure you're following the steps and opening the links from the most recent SheerID email you've received. 

If issues persist afterwards, it is worth trying to follow the steps on the email from a different device, better yet a computer. You can try using an incognito Window to see how it goes.

If I have received any email from SheerID I do not have it anymore. I am getting now the message "Verification Limit Exceeded" and it says I already redeemed or attempted to redeem the $0 1 month offer and stops there. I am just trying to purchase my student subscription, so what should I do next?
