Switching Subscriptions

Is there a way in which I can just switch my account to the student discount? Or would I need to cancel my current suprscription through iTunes and then resign up, through my same account, onto the student discount?

If you're currently subscribed to Premium through iTunes, it's better if you cancel the subscription with them and wait for your account to go back to the Free service before applying for the student discount. As your subscription is not handled by us directly, we suggest this in order to avoid double charges.
