Unable to login to Hulu with Spotify Premium Student

Unable to login to Hulu with Spotify Premium Student

Signed up for Spotify Premium student but am unable to access Hulu. I goto services > Hulu Start Watching and end up on a Hulu page with a bunch of subscription offers and am unable to login using the Spotify credentials.

Hi Liam,

 

I have already tried that way and when I select “start watching” (Hulu) from the spotify webpage, I am then taken to a link that asks me to subscribe to one of the many packages that Hulu offers. I am not able to login or link my Spotify account.

Hey again, Kirby!

Could you double-check on your Spotify account page if everything is correct with your Premium Student? Also, I'd recommend that you try to activate your Hulu account again, but now using an incognito tab of your browser.

If the issue persists, please send me a screenshot of what happens when you access the Your Services tab and another one showing what you see when you tap on the activation button.

I tried incognito mode with the same result.

I’ve included a screenshot showing I have premium student, the services page and the page it takes me to after selecting “start watching”.

I got some new info here in the community. Do you already have a registered account on Hulu? Could you try to log into it and double-check if there is already an activated plan running?

Hi Luan,

I do not have any other Hulu accounts. I’ve ever confirmed by selecting “forgot password” and it says if I have an account I will receive an email with the reset link and I never receive anything.

If you don't mind, I'd like to suggest you another tip before trying something more “deep”. Could you try to activate your Hulu account through this link, please? Considering you said you had never registered to Hulu before, select the option “I'm new to Hulu” and follow the other steps afterward.

I tried the link you provided and it says my accounts are connected but then prompts me to login. I enter credentials I use for Spotify and it doesn’t work, then do forgot password and never receive a reset link. 😞

Just for your information, they typically reply within 24-48 hours by email, but you can also tweet to @SpotifyCares on X (Twitter), message Spotify Cares on Facebook or even get assistance via live chat, if available in your country.

Having the same problem. I was asked to sign into my Hulu account. It’s always been the same login as Spotify. I can log into Spotify just fine but Hulu says I have the wrong password.

So, I was on Disney+ the other day and I haven’t made any changes to that subscription.I  noticed Though, that they now have a Hulu tab on Disney+. I’m wondering if that’s what’s causing this issue?

Sorry to hear that… Have you already tried to reset your Hulu password? Maybe it could did the trick, in your case.

If you’re still having issues to activate your Hulu account, the best option here would be get in touch with my folks from the Customer Support, as I already suggested before. They can look deeper into your case and check if there is anything wrong with your subscription.

My Question or Issue

I have the premium student plan that includes Hulu for free but the problem is that I am no longer able to log into Hulu as of recently. I checked under services in Spotify and Hulu is still considered one of them that is available to me. However, every time I click on "Start Watching" Hulu, it takes me to the buying a bundle screen. Is there a solution?
