Why can't I play audiobooks on my premium family plan?

Why can't I play audiobooks on my premium family plan?

I used to be able to listen to audiobooks on my individual premium plan, but now that I've switched to a family premium plan, that is no longer an option. Spotify makes me purchase the audiobook to listen to it. Is there a reason why I am not able to listen to audiobooks on the family premium plan? Online it says that audiobook listening is part of the family premium plan.

Thanks for reaching out.

 

Right now, only the plan manager has access to audiobook listening time from Spotify's audiobooks subscriber catalog. It’s not possible to share audiobook listening time with the plan member/s.

 

I hope this clears things up 🙂
