Why isn’t my gift card code working

For Christmas, my mom got 2 6 month premium subscription gift cards. 1 worked, but it has run out. I keep trying the code for the second one but it says it’s invalid. The card has never been used before, and I have tried the code multiple times and replacing letters or numbers I may have gotten mixed up but there has been no difference

It was bought online with the other one which worked and I’ve checked the article but nothing seems to be working. Is there anything else I can do?
