can't accept invite to premium duo

My Question or Issue

Just changed to premium duo to add my daughter to it, selected the address from the dropdown and did the same with her account, it says we need to live in the same country...

Hey @germanc4, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

In order to be able to accept the invite, every member should have the same address and country. She can check here if she has added the same country as you. She can follow these steps if she needs to update it.

Then you can invite her again to the Premium Duo plan. After she has accepted the invite, she can enjoy the Premium features.
If she gets an error message, you can attach a screenshot and I’ll take a look.

Ah, country too. So I opened my account while in the US and my payment method is a US CC, she opened the account at home in Mexico, so there's our problem. Neither of us can change it though, mine is disabled because of the payment method, and she only gets Mexico in the dropdown because that's where we are. Is my only option to change my payment method?

Hey @germanc4, 

You would have to change your payment method following these steps. Then, you'll be able to change your country or your country will be changed automatically. The country registered on the account must match the country registered on your payment method. 

Also, keep in mind that the Premium Family and Duo plans are for members who reside at the same physical address as the plan's manager. There is some more info as to how this plan works here.

Hmm, I marked as solved thinking that would do it, but I changed my payment method selecting Mexico and it still says USA, tried it again and nothing. This was a few days ago now too, thought it might take a while but it hasn't changed. Does spotify have staff looking at this that can help?

Hey there @germanc4, 

Thanks for getting back in touch. 

No worries, the changes will take effect from your next billing date meaning if you've already registered successfully your new payment method which was issued in the country you're currently living in, your country settings will change as well on that day. 

Once this happens, you'll be able to invite your daughter if she's living with you as @Billy-J mentioned.
