Hey there, @iamandyhill (Rock Star)! Tell us something about yourself.
Howdy! Well, I’m a 32-year-old Marketing Innovator (which is a pretty lame name for a marketing manager!) I’m from the birthplace of the pie barm in the North West of England. I’ve two daughters, Poppy and Lily, neither of which sleep for more than two hours, so my blood is currently half coffee and half Red Bull!
When do you listen to music is there a particular place like the Journey to work?
In the office both at work and at home (I may as well do something productive whilst I’m awake!), I’ve got the loudest speakers in the office so like a glorious leader I dictate the tunes all day, I need something to keep those innovative juices flowing!
If you could be part of any band/group for a day who would that be and why?
Tough one! Being a family man I guess I need to be sensible so that rules out the sex, drugs and rock and roll of the Rolling Stones but in earnest, I’d be part of Alkaline Trio, an awesome band I’ve seen live every time they’ve played Manchester. Would we need to rename it Alkaline Quad though? 🙂
Do you feel that you have a special connection with some types of music? Which types?
Punk. 100%. A lot of my early listening was through my dad's old LP’s. Sterling parenting skills allowed me to listen to the likes of The Clash, The Fall, Stiff Little Fingers, The Buzzcocks and the Sex Pistols to name but a few. All before I could walk and stick two fingers up to the establishment.
Thanks for taking your time to chat with us. Before we go, what joke always makes you laugh?
I’m a dad, I have finely honed dad joke skills which came as part of the two insomniac daughters packages I’m now the proud owner of.
“What time is my dentist appointment? Tooth-hurty”
Ba-dum-dum-tiss! (That’s the sound two drums and a cymbal make falling off a cliff…)
