Backstage Intro: Meet James

Hello (Community Moderator) James, nice to meet you. Tell us a little about yourself.

Hey guys! I spent a significant part of my childhood in the Philippine Islands, so I love beaches, coconut juice and wearing flip flops. I like to stay fit and keep active. Basketball is my favorite sport. It was after watching Space Jam that made me realize my passion for the game. I mean come on, a star studded cast including Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes, with R. Kelly's 'I believe I can fly' as the theme tune? How can you not fall in love? I also like to play the ukelele and acoustic guitar whenever I get the chance to. After 3 years of university and a cheeky gap year, I've taken my talents to Spotify. I am very excited to be a part of this family and could not be happier!

So, what kind of music are you into?

I like listening to all sorts of music. However, I think it's fair to say that "I'm all about that bass", so mostly R n' B, Hip hop and Dancehall. I'm a big fan of old school legends such as Tupac Shakur but also enjoy listening to new artists such as J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar and others. I do have some guilty pleasures but I'd prefer not to tell you guys. Just follow me on Spotify and you'll find out. 

What's your all-time favourite Christmas song? 

My all-time favorite Christmas song would be 'It's Beginning to Look A lot Like Christmas' by Perry Como. It brings a lot of awesome childhood memories.

It's Secret Santa time! You draw "Azealia Banks." With a spend limit of £5, what on earth do you get her?

If I had to get Azaelia Banks anything with a £5 limit, I'd have to get her a bar of Soap. To wash her potty mouth (Tut-tut, Azaelia!).
