Hey there, @Bittencourt (Rock Star)! Tell us something about yourself.

Hi there! I’m Rodrigo - I used to be a lawyer, but I quit some time after getting into the music business. Today I’m a DJ and producer of soundtracks for fashion shows. I also work with sound branding. In other words, I’m a full-time music researcher and Spotify is today my main tool to find new (and old) stuff!

Other than that, I love travelling, photography/video, and sports like basketball and badminton.

porluizaferraz-2.jpgSo, what kind of music are you into?

Well, I have to listen to several music styles constantly, so I’ve learned to love quite opposite genres, from classic jazz to indie rock, from deep house to soul, hip-hop, and disco...  Just don’t bring me EDM and country music.

What's your favorite music while running?

It depends on my mood and energy. I’ve even created two running playlists in Spotify. A rock-oriented one, which suits a more intense running, and the “light” version that also features some pop/electronica artists.

Which parts of songs come to your mind when thinking about your favorite sport?

The chorus of "Huarache Lights" by Hot Chip, and "Paper Planes" by M.I.A.

Also, "Frankie Sinatra (Extended Mix)" by The Avalanches is great to play basketball.

You like photography, how would you combine that with music?

When I have to create soundtracks for fashion shows, the stylists generally give me references like texture, shape, balance, pattern, mood, energy… and I think that these are elements present both in music and photography (and also fashion) so it’s something I always relate.

Thanks for taking your time to chat with us. Before we go, what joke always makes you laugh?
