Artist pages & library

Artist pages are very messy at the moment, it’s hard to browse due to layout of albums and deluxe albums and many singles and remixes in a vertical list - is there a plan to clean these up?

Also when you search your library, you should be able to search any artist or song or playlist that you’ve liked or created making it easier to search things you know you’ve liked.

Also when you like a song does it automatically like the artist or do you have to like the artist separately? Why in your followed artists page does it take you to their artist page rather than the songs you’ve liked for that artist?

It’s hard to discover albums on Spotify and to know when Spotify official playlists have been updated

Hey there @rep11,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and welcome!

It's already possible to search for followed artists and playlists either created by you or that you're following by tapping on the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of Your Library. You can also search for songs within playlists by opening the playlist and swiping down to reveal the search bar.

When you Like a song, the artist isn't automatically followed. You need to manually Follow an artist so it can be saved to Your Library > Artists. When tapping on an artist you have in Your Library, it redirects you to the artist page, but you can easily find only the songs you've liked from that artist by tapping on Liked songs in the artist page.

Also, you can discover new albums and artists that match your taste in the Discover tab that you can find within the Search page of the app. Additionally, you can discover new music in your personalized playlists like Discover Weekly and Release Radar, and also with the Radio feature.

Regarding the artist page layout and an easier way to see when the Spotify playlists have been updated, we suggest searching in our Ideas board to see if someone else has already submitted a suggestion about those topics. If there aren't any, you can submit your own with the steps in this article. Others can then vote for it or add to the conversation to show their support.

You can read more about how feedback on ideas reaches Spotify here.

Hope this helps. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.

Cheers.
