Solved!

Can I transfer everything in my liked songs playlist to an actual playlist?

I have just been putting my music into my liked songs and I have so many in it now it would take way too long to switch everything over to a new playlist so I was wondering if there was an easier way than going through each song and transferring it?

Hi,

On Spotify Desktop, you can select all songs in a playlist by clicking on one song in your Liked Songs, pressing Control + A, and then right-clicking and add to playlist.

You can find more information here.

Yes, they did remove Control + A for some reason.

However, if you click on a song, and then select the meatball menu in the top left corner of the Spotify Desktop client, you can go to Edit > Select All, and it will select all, effectively pressing Control + A.

What about mobile?

Hey @Peppino69,

I'm afraid the mobile app does not support selecting all items in your Liked Songs playlist yet, so it's best to use the desktop app for this.

If you'd like to be able to do that on mobile, it's worth sharing your feedback on our Idea Exchange board. More info here.

Cheers!

they just removed that feature as well 🙂

It looks like the Ctrl+A doesn't work on my PC in the app, but if I open up liked songs in the desktop app and select the top song, then scroll to the bottom of the list and shift+click the bottom song, it will select on the songs in the list. Then just drag and drop to your playlist.

You legend lad

This helped me thank you!!!

Because I am not a boomer and do not own a desktop, the fact that this feature is unavailable on mobile is WILDLY inconvenient.

Bro i just first created a empty playlist and then went to my liked songs pressed Ctrl + A and copied all (Ctrl + C) and pasted in the new playlist (Ctrl + V ) vola! now i got a new playlist with all my liked songs in it

Can you make a feature to migrate Liked Songs into a new playlist? This way we can empty our Likes in order to make room for new music we find, while keeping all our songs in our library.

Additionally, you could create a way to "smart sort" a playlist into other playlists you've created that contain similar music.
