My Question or Issue
For the past two weeks, I have noticed that my Daily Mixes have essentially stopped updating. My listening preferences are usually Movie Soundtracks, 80s-90s music, Christian/Worship. I have not stopped any of my normal listening patterns when this began nor during I encountered this. The lists will be about 90/10 (90% same tracks with 10% of newer tracks thrown in). The tracks rarely change order as well. I also noticed that the lists would previously "shuffle" between my music preferences: if I listen to more movie soundtracks for the week, I would sometimes have 1-3 of my daily mixes show movie soundtracks. This is simply not the case any more.
I have looked through previous threads and followed the recommendations I saw there: clearing the cache when listening on iPhone, not listening to a Daily Mix as my "last list" played with an eight-hour gap and none have worked so far.
Any thoughts on what I can do to correct this? I have previously liked the way the Daily Mixes would shuffle.
Hi everyone,
Thank you for the inputs so far.
It's important to note that near 75% of the content in your Daily Mixes should already be familiar to you, as their purpose is to focus primarily on the stuff you enjoy, with some occasional additions recommended by the app based on your taste. Discover Weekly and Release Radar are more oriented towards exploring new music.
Daily Mixes should update daily, however, keep in mind that the changes within these playlists may be subtle, such as the order of the playlist shuffling, or a track or two being replaced with another, so it may not be easy to tell at first glance. Something you can try is to download one of your Daily Mixes for offline listening, then set the app to Offline mode. On the next day, turn off Offline mode to see if the playlist would refresh.
You can also check out the Picked just for You playlists if you're looking for new recommendations on Spotify. You can access them by typing picked for you in the Search bar and filtering out the results so that only Playlists would appear.
Hope this clears things up. Take care.
SPOTIFY DOES NOT CARE OR LISTEN.
I start to think they want to save bandwidth using only the music we listen once and have in our local cache LOL. My daily mixes doesn't change or they just swap the order the same songs. Nice 😞
Same as above have tried everything its been about 5 days please can spotify do something

My Question or Issue
My Daily Mixes haven't updated in a week. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, cleared my cache and downloads multiple times, logged in and logged out, changed my password, updated the app, and logged out again. Nothing works. What gives, Spotfiy?! This is the one thing I look forward to every day.
I am also having the same issue. Have been for about 9 months now. They update only with maybe a song here or there. Happens on all platforms. Did all the basic stuff, uninstall/reinstall clear cache. No change. I have a host of other issues too.
1. Daily Mixes not updating daily
2. Missing Genre buttons on Liked Songs on the Mobile App
3. Getting Error when I go to Recomended Songs on the Mobile App
4. Songs I have Liked and downloaded show up as not liked.
I have a Duo account. I am the plan manager. The plan member doesn't have these issues. Not sure what is going on, but there is definitely a bug with 4 identified issues.
Nine months later, my Daily Mixes still have not updated, not even the artist on the freaking cover. At the very least, move them to the bottom of the homepage so I don't get angry every single time I open up the app. Or better yet, fix the problem instead of blowing time doing superficial design changes. Fixing problems instead of creating more, what a novel concept!
Won't do any good, but I'll add to this thread too.
I have 1,000's of Liked songs, a wide mix of genres & artists from 40's-80's, almost nothing recorded after mid-80's.
For almost a year now my 6 Daily Mix playlists have stopped updating.
God only knows how many singles & albums my Liked Songs artists have, not to mention genre songs (ie apparently the 50's-70's Country songs and the 20 Elvis songs I've Liked are the only ones ever released since no other ones have ever been inserted into a mix).
I've tried every suggested solution, but it's obvious that something is seriously broken in Spotify.
Personally I think the problem is that their library is severely limited for anytime other than current Pop.

My Question or Issue
Hi. I have a problem with my Daily Mixes: they are not updating since January 2024.
I have tried some things: I removed access from external apps, signed out everywhere and changed my password. Also, I have listened to different kinds of music, followed many artists since four months and uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times (I made sure to clear the app cache).
Although the lists called On Repeat, Discover Weekly and Release Radar do update according to what I have listened to all this time, none of the six Daily Mixes are doing the same.
I really don't know what else I can do. How can I fix this?
I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks in advance.
My daily mixes have been exactly the same for over a year! I've tried steps suggested i in this thread but they never change. Doesn't matter if it's my mobile device with Bluetooth in the car or using web version on pc or even through my Comcast cable box. I want variety and different songs, not just having daily mixes be a Playlist that stays the same
My daily mixes have started to change recently. I have been 'liking' songs more and curating some new playlists, and now it seems Spotify has picked up on that. Normally I haven't been "liking" songs, and I think likes may actually be a key component of Spotify's algorithms.
Oh, my bad - I wasn't even thinking about the daily mixes. Haven't checked mine in a minute.
Now, there is a new "daylist, " which updates every 3 or 4 hours. Have you checked that? It's populated based on what you generally listen to at that time of day. If you haven't seen that yet, search for "daylist" in your main Spotify search bar.

My Question or Issue
For the past few months, I've noticed that my Daily Mixes haven't been updating to reflect my current tastes. In fact, they haven't changed at all, not even the artist on the cover. It used to work perfectly fine, but now it seems to be stuck for some reason. I've tried reinstalling the iOS app multiple times, clearing the cache, reinstalling the Windows App, clearing the cache again, and even accessing Spotify through open.spotify.com. I've also unfollowed and refollowed each Daily Mix, but still, nothing seems to work.
Thank you for your assistance.
Simon
I am very angry that Spotify doesn't update its daily mixes. We are paying a fortune for BS responsiveness. Also I listen to an eclectic variety of music and spotify segments the heck out of everything. Spotify is not as reactive and functional as it could be.
The daily mixes that I have gotten have nearly identical content since October of this year. Even if I try to listen to a different playlist, the content remains the same nevertheless. Daily Mix 1 (in my experience) has had the same artist in its cover (Taylor Swift) for two months. I really don't get why Spotify has not changed the artists that is in the cover for this long for my daily mixes.
