Hi there @MrBoston,

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to clarify the use of local files.

The songs on Spotify can only be played within the app itself. Even when you download some for offline listening, all this does is save some cache allowing the app to play these without an internet connection. It's not possible to export these as MP3s or similar files and play them on other devices or transfer them via USB drives and such. Use a device that can support Spotify and then connect it to whatever output you want to use via AUX, Bluetooth or whatever works for you.

Hope this clears things up.

Hi Ms. Joan,

Thank you much for your clarification on my inquiry to offline music to a USB Flash drive. I love the fact that Spotify has most of the music from my era and I can create some nice old and new school formats of music. I would love to put those formats on a flash drive and burn to a cd. I guess I'll have to find another way to produce them. Have a great and safe summer and thanks again for all your support.

Mr. Boston

I want to use songs in my Gospel Radio show on community radio.  Can I buy songs for use in my show.

Hi @EB1946123,

Thanks for reaching out.

Spotify is only for personal, non-commercial use. This means you can’t broadcast or play Spotify publicly from a business, such as bars, restaurants, schools, stores, salons, dance studios, radio stations, etc. For more info, check out our Terms and Conditions. To play in a commercial environment, consider checking out our friends at Soundtrack Your Brand.

Hope this clears things up.
