Doesn't give me 30 minutes of ad-free music anymore

Doesn't give me 30 minutes of ad-free music anymore

I feel like I’m being tormented with adverts to purchase Premium. Sometimes I watch 3 advertisements and I do not get 30 minutes of ad free music. Then 1 or 2 songs play and then the same advertisements again! I would not mind the advertisements if I did get the promised 30 minutes

If you're no longer receiving 30 minutes of ad-free music on Spotify, it's possible that there have been changes to the Spotify Free tier or your account settings. Here are a few reasons why this might be happening:

  1. Changes to Spotify Free: Spotify periodically updates its features and offerings, including those available to free users. It's possible that the 30 minutes of ad-free music benefit may have been modified or removed by Spotify. Checking Spotify's official website or contacting their customer support can provide you with the most up-to-date information on the features available to free users.

  2. Account settings: Verify your account settings to ensure that you're still using the free version of Spotify. If you recently made any changes to your subscription or upgraded to a premium plan, it's possible that the 30 minutes of ad-free music no longer applies. Double-check your account settings to ensure you're still using the free version.

  3. Region-specific changes: Spotify's offerings can vary by region, and certain features may not be available in all countries. It's possible that the 30 minutes of ad-free music benefit is not available in your current region. Check Spotify's website or reach out to their support to confirm if this is the case.

  4. Technical issues: Sometimes, technical glitches can affect the functioning of certain features. Try logging out of your Spotify account, clearing your browser cache, and then logging back in. Alternatively, you can try using the Spotify app on a different device or reinstalling the app to see if that resolves the issue.

If none of these steps address the problem, it's best to contact Spotify's customer support directly for further assistance. They can provide you with specific information about your account and help troubleshoot any issues you may be experiencing.

Hmm, Thanks

Hi Alex, I have the same annoying, persistent problems others have reported. I'm listening on my mobile, after 2-3 songs advert break of 2-3 adverts (video and audio). I don't navigate away but they are very annoying and break my concentration. Then on top the last advert taunts me with the 30 min uninterrupted listening which never happens. This is clearly a bug with the service.

I'm not sure when this started but I've noted it and paid close attention the last two days. I will get an ad that is video and audio, it says watch for 30 minutes ad free, I keep my phone open and active during the whole ad and then after the very first song plays, 3-4 ads. I'm using the mobile app on Android. My app is up to date. This does not happen on PC because ads are blocked by software. I know I'm choosing to not pay for premium and if Spotify doesn't want to offer the 30 minutes ad free, that's fine, but don't say you're going to do it and then literally 3 minutes later give ads.

Hi, It is happening to me too the 30 mins ad never played anymore and it keeps playing ad every 2-4 songs im listening to

Hey the 30mis ad free ads are still not working. You all need to fix it before someone sues you all for false advertising!

Yeah It's still not giving me a 30 minute ad break towards the end of 2023 Spotify has disappointed me heavily for turning to the same scummy tactics that youtube music has. This is ridiculous and out of control. You make enough money off of us. Stop this scummy tactics.

Appreciate the free music, pay, or stop complaining.

I enjoyed my 30 minutes free music and didn’t mind the ads but now after 2 or 3 songs I have to deal with at least three ads and since I’m trying to make a playlist it is very annoying.  I personally think Spotify is trying to get us to purchase Premium but since I’m on a limited budget, I can’t afford to pay for it.

Dude it says “listen to 30 minutes without ads “ every freakin song I have an add heck sometimes half way through a song I’ll have the stupid Spotify premium add y’all are BS if u don’t fixing this problem I have a playlist that is 22 minutes long I got 10 adds throughout that playlist you are all just trying to squeeze your way into more subscriptions for Spotify premium okay and don’t even try to lie

It’s not working your just trying to get more ppl paying for your app I have an playlist 22 mins long I got 10 freakin adds

I have got 4 adds in a row and then 2 songs and then 3 more adds you are all just greedy scum bags trying to get more ppl to pay for your **bleep**

My Question or Issue

The issue I have is that it only pops Spotify premium ads. I don't see any actual ads. It's so frustrating I'm tired of hearing the same ads to buy Spotify premium. Just show me normal ads! It could probably be because of the country but still, I don't want to hear every 3-4 songs to purchase premium. I have these ads in my conscious already and I'm staying in the free program, find more ad partners please!

Here is my little data on ads:

Ad-1 10.44pm “Elizabeth Day Sydney”

7 minutes of song

Ad-2 10.51pm “Western Sydney University”

10.52pm “Western Sydney University” again

10.52 Specsavers

10.52 McDonalds

8 minutes song goea

Ad-3 11.00pm ADF careers

11.00 McDonalds

11.00pm Panasonic

11.01 Mojo homes

8 minutes song goes

Ad-4 11.09 pm Elizabeth Day Sydney ad goes again😡😡😡😡😒😒😒

How Spotify can be saying “Ad free 30 minutes” where the ad is playing every 10 minutes?????

Is there any solution for this?

please help if you can.

thanks

  • View an ad to get 30 min ad free feature is not working anymore. I watch an ad and it continues to show me more ads every 5 mins. What happened? Feels like a scam.

My Question or Issue

I get an ad right after the first some 4 of them actually also after every 2 songs so it’s never 30 min ad free

I've had this issue for literally years, where I would time it and 7/10 times it would give me a MAXIMUM of 11 minutes total. Now? Literally the same 1-3 song block and I'm reminded that Arby's exists. Just happened 5 minutes ago.

Yeah I’ve been having this problem for ages as well, when I start it I get about 3 ads, then 2 songs, then 3-4 ads, repeat. It sucks, and I can’t afford premium so I’m just stuck like this.

i timed the time after the announcement that said there was 30 minutes of uninterrupted listening and it ended up being 16 minutes😭😭

another year, im getting it too,, i like playing music while drawing or doing anything else quiet, but sometimes it doesn't give me an ad for 30 minutes. i close out the app and try playing something else in hopes to activate an ad, but it doesn't, and then when the song is over, it gives me like. 3 or 4 ads! i do NOT need that many ads friend :(.. i just want 30 minutes unbothered, but i don't really get that anymore. it takes so long JUST to get an ad.
