My Question or Issue
When searching for personalized playlists, Google Assistant devices re-direct to random albums with similar names.
I've got a routine within the Google Home app to “shuffle my daily mix 3 on Spotify”
Until mid April it worked as expected, recently it’s starting playing Daily Drive. I’ve messed around with the wording & sometimes it plays songs recommend to me (Based on the album Daily Mix 3 by Luis Masters) but will no longer play the thing I’m after.. My daily mix 3.
This has been an issue in the past with the album by Luis masters, I got around it by changing the wording but no luck this time.
Can this be looked into please.
There is NO solution!
- It's NOT something the users CAN do!
- It's NOT related to Google Home App / device config
- It's NOT related to Spotify APP installed on ANY device
In fact, it's NOT related to ANY APP!! So, anything the user DOES it's a WASTE OF TIME!
This is a SERVER SIDE problem that must be solved by Google AND/OR Spotify!
This is not a solution. This is **bleep**ing stupid problem and spotify needs to solve it.
Why has my separate new thread titled "Fake Discover Weekly playlist - disrupting my experience." been merged into this old solved-not-solved BS thread like it's some "too hard to fix" junk pile?
What is the point of this community if it has this much deflection?
Still ongoing...
Users complaints pile up on the Google Community: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Google-Assistant-not-playing-ROUTINES-a...
And... we still don't know if this recurring problem is Spotify fault, Google fault, or BOTH!!
Can someone remove the "solved" tagging, since this issue is not really solved, it maybe spotify or google home issue, but this isn't solved.
OS has NOTHING to do with this!!!
Spotify APP has NOTHING to do with this!!!
This is OS and Spotify APP agnostic!!!
This is related to VOICE COMMANDS directly on the Google Nest Mini HARDWARE!!!
This has to do with Google API and the way it executes commands AND / OR reaches Spotify API!!!
So... Please don't keep asking what's the OS! (there is NO OS!!!)
And there is NO Spotify APP (there's no need of one installed to use VOICE COMMANDS on Google NEST hardware)
Are we clear?
Thanks.
It was resolved... that's why they tagged it resolved.
Yet, the moderators DON'T READ the problem as it is!!!
They keep asking for OS versions and Spotify APP versions!!!
This problem has nothing to do with OS and APPs!!!
Spotify playlist in Google Assistant routines still not working
NO! It's even WORSE now!
Now i can't even play a song / playlist using PAIRED STEREO Google Nest Minis!
This is soooooooooo bad!!!
It’s truly incredible how this issue will be magically fixed for months, then break again for several more months, randomly work again, and then break. It’s been going on for what, a year now? So impressively horrible.
Exactly!!!
None of those steps help this problem. It is obviously due to the background Google API/Spotify API interaction. Nothing the user does affects it.
