How Do I turn off AI suggestions in my playlist?

My Question or Issue

I have made a few playlists for myself. Recently, Spotify has added or let AI add songs to my playlists. I do not want or need AI's help with my playlists; I only want the songs I want in the playlists.

I have removed the added songs at least three times, but every time I start listening to the playlist again, the AI suggested songs reappear. This is infuriating.

Thanks for posting this thread in the Community!

It sounds like what you're describing is the Smart Shuffle function, which when enabled adds recommendations to your listening that match the vibe. 

No worries, you can turn it off to stop recommended tracks being added and the ones that were suggested by Smart Shuffle should automatically disappear from the playlist. More info you can find in this article.

On another note, if this is still happening or what you're experiencing is different, the more info you provide the better.

No! I am having this issue that when i’m trying to play my “liked songs” playlist and it keep adding random songs even when i turn shuffle

off. Its driving me nuts probably just going to cancel my sub at this point.

Smartshuffle.... Where is the regular shuffle??? This is bad UX! I did not understand this until I found this thread. Very anoying when I have created a "focus list" without vocals for when I'm coding and suddenly there is a new feature that has extremly bad UX. And now I get music in my ears that is not in line with my playlist.
AI here and AI there.. Make this an option in SETTINGS, not replacing a button that has worked the same way for years. This is like suddenly change the functionallity of an elevator button to "bring elevator here" and instead make a clown appear in the stairway to accompany up the stairs, just beacuse it is healthier to take the stairs.
I want a regular musicplayer where I have controll.

We are asking how to distinguish actual artists from Spotifys AI generated content.  We do not need anything other than a "opps sorry heres a button to turn off our spewed garbage." Thanks so much!

Yes I totally agree. I enjoy the Spotify "go to song radio" very much but I would very much like to have the option of turning off AI suggestions on a general level. I do not want to spend my money on that. We need that function/option NOW!

Exactly. I do not want any AI music suggested to me. It’s garbage and I want none of it.

I'm struggling with the same thing. But it's even worse because when I unclick "shuffle", it says it's removing the ai suggested content, but it doesn't, and I can't even play my playlist in order anymore.

Same, I keep getting garbage music not even remotely aligned with my preferences just based on my geographic location and it reeks of bad AI

Absolutely! How DARE they impose AI on us? I too will cancel if this persists
