How can I determine what playlist a song is saved to?

Solved!

How can I determine what playlist a song is saved to?

Sometimes I will visit an album or a playlist and find that some of the songs have a check mark on them. This means that I have saved those songs to a playlist somewhere in my library. How can I reveal which playlist that song is saved to?

Hey @charmedbirds & @ribezaz,

There is actually a workaround that should yield almost the same described functionality :)!
Just search for the song in question/ select it from the album or playlist and tap on 'Add to other playlist'.
This will open up a menu where you will find checkmarks next to every playlist this library item is saved to.

Hope this helps 🙌🏼

Hey, how are you? Welcome to the Spotify Community!

I believe this specific function does not exist on Spotify, but you can suggest adding this functionality in this section!

It's a great idea, and certainly many of us who use the app would use it.

Keep me informed 🙂

Cheers,

That sounds like a good solution. However, I don't see checkmarks beside playlist names, at least not on the desktop app.

I have over 1000 playlists, so that's also a factor. 🙂

I've been trying this out, and this seems to work most of the time. The relevant playlists will appear at the top of the list, and if they are in a folder, that folder will appear at the top.

In some cases, nothing is highlighted. One possible reason could be that I saved it to my library several years ago, and Spotify has changed the way it saves songs and albums to your library since. Just conjecture.
