The concept is great, but the interruptions from the dj sucks. Button to keep him quiet please. Won’t use it otherwise

I HATE ALL THE JUNK THAT IS FORCED ON US - FROM SONG THEY RECOMMEND, SUGGEST, ALL THE ALBUM LABELS, AND MOSTLY DJ. *** I 'M GIVE US MARKETING KNUCKLEHEADS ONE MONTH TO LET ME CONTROL WHAT ON MY SCREENS OR i AM CANCELLING AFTER 10 YEARS OF PREMIUM.

If I am driving I can't do that. It popped up in the middle of my playlist. If I can't get rid of it, I will cancel and sign up again then not activate. If that doesn't work, I'm out.

Seriously hope Spotify listens to us here, this was a horrible idea. I really can't imagine anyone liking this more. It's intrusive and fouls up the listening experience.

A post suggested hitting the stop button, yeah, that's the only thing that is going to happen until this bug is removed. No music will be played in my Spotify until this AI dj is removed or removable.

I don't want to stop the DJ from playing - I want its icon completely removed from my home screen. The voice is incredibly annoying.

My Question or Issue

How do I remove the "dj" a huge blue screen. Its s very childish function. Let me look at my music instead.

How can you remove the ai dj from my library completely? I don’t want it at all.

How on earth does Spotify think it’s a good idea to include a disruptive & incredibly annoying DJ voice speaking every other song? The suggestion to just not use the DJ option is not a solution. Please disable this. Or at least do a poll to see that I’m not alone in this sentiment. I guarantee about 90% will say the same.

Listen to your customers. Liters nobody wants to hear the stupid DJ commentary!!!!

If I can't find a way to get rid of the very American DJ voice thing I will go back to my MP3 collection. It is so very annoying.

Ffs. Just let us turn off the voice. Please.

Found this solution on Reddit. “On mobile go to the Music tab on the home page. Choose the 3 dots for the DJ app and select 'remove from your library'.”

Yeah but how do you turn off just the voice aspect?

this is a very irritating feature. i'm going back to owning actual music, i was already seriously on the fence about spotify but this is the last straw.

Here's the thing, now there is an AI bot that was installed on an app on my phone that is listening to me 24/7, that I did not ask for nor do I want. Spotify is forcing these AI bots on customers and there is nothing we can do about it, which is complete BS.

There should be an option to turn the feature off/on. Forcing this on customers seems very unethical. If Spotify does not offer a way to disable it, I'm cancelling my account. I don't need this **bleep**.

Get rid of this AI monstrosity. Otherwise I'm leaving Spotify.

You’re a hero. Your instructions worked. I’ve got rid of the DJ icon from my home screen 🥳

Spotify …. don’t you want my money, you are trying to get rid of me!

Mr DJ - within a minute of being implanted in this Spotify abomination - went rogue, silenced the baroque lute music I had selected to play, and began spewing out its mindless reductive algorithm.

It now sits in my ‘Your Library’ and it cannot be removed. All answers I’ve seen give incorrect fixes.

So I will be clear: I object absolutely to all forms of clumsy ‘curation’ of my music choices as ‘AI’ is and always will be far too stupid. If it is not something I can KILL in the Settings then I am gone …

Get DJ out or add a kill switch in ‘Settings’ pronto, or me - and very many others -  will cancel their Premium Subscription.

Yea that worked thanks.

So share it ?
